Network Asset Discovery Service (Tanium)
Tanium is the Network Asset Discovery solution for the University. It provides:
- Endpoint management functionality, e.g. Setting up and configuring devices with the necessary software, applications, and settings.
- Patch management, eg. distributing and applying security updates to software
- Posture checking across departmental estates, to evaluate the threat that a device poses
It is a cloud-hosted solution with client agents installed on participating devices.
