Network Asset Discovery Service (Tanium)

Tanium is the Network Asset Discovery solution for the University. It provides:

  • Endpoint management functionality, e.g. Setting up and configuring devices with the necessary software, applications, and settings.
  • Patch management, eg. distributing and applying security updates to software
  • Posture checking across departmental estates, to evaluate the threat that a device poses

It is a cloud-hosted solution with client agents installed on participating devices.
