MSD Information Governance Office
The Information Governance Office (IGO) provides operational support, liaise and work with departments, support regulatory and data request submissions, develop policies and procedures, provide training, support the management of risk, and build and maintain relationships with external bodies and agencies. The service has the following overall goals, to: * Embed the importance of information governance so that good information governance behaviours become habitual. * Ensure Departmental Administrators, and other staff, have the information and support that they need to achieve information governance objectives. * Enable research by eliminating undue (University-side) information governance barriers to winning grants and obtaining data. * Simplify, and consolidate where possible, the approach to and management of Information Governance Toolkits (IGTs) across the division. * Develop new, and share existing, information governance good practice across the division. * Establish and facilitate a community of information governance practitioners across the division.
