Business Intelligence
The Business Intelligence Service enables the statistical reporting that supports planning and decision-making at all levels of the University. It does this by providing, maintaining and supporting a suite of IT systems enabling the collection, integration, analysis and presentation of information. It comprises two Service Components (see links in the Related Services section at the bottom of this page): Data Warehousing and Analytical Reporting. The Data Warehouse Service gathers data – normally overnight - from multiple operational systems, applies consistent, agreed logic to them and presents them in data structures that are easily consumed by reporting tools. The warehouse databases track changes and create the snapshots that enable both historical and predictive reporting. -
